A month prior to his end, Kalam prompted current DRDO boss to chip away at reusable missiles

Only a month prior to his downfall, previous President APJ Abdul Kalam had exhorted DRDO boss Satheesh Reddy to take a shot at reusable rockets framework that can convey a payload and dispatch it, return and take another payload. 

Mr. Reddy was then the Scientific Adviser to the Defense Minister. 

"After I turned into the logical counsel, I met him [Kalam] at his home only a month prior to his end. He thought of the possibility of reusable rocket, conveying a payload, returning, at that point take another payload and dispatch it... 'Work on this kind of framework', he let me know," Mr. Reddy reviewed.

"That is the vision he had," Mr. Reddy included.
