"School principals and teachers have been advised by the board that the subjects which have been reduced are also explained to the extent required by the students to engage with various subjects. However, the reduced curriculum will not be part of these subjects' internal assessment and board examination at the end of the year.

A senior HRD ministry official said NCERT's inputs on curriculum transactions through alternative academic calendars and various strategies would also be part of teaching in affiliated schools.
